On Saturday, New York Mets star Pete Alonso took the field in his team's new City Connect uniforms against the St. Louis Cardinals. The new digs must have given him some extra power, given the monster home run he hit in the fifth inning.
Up against Sonny Gray, Alonso hit a no-doubt two-run home run. The home run would end up being a huge milestone, as it was Alonso's 200th career home run.

What makes Alonso's 200th career home run even more special? He is now the fourth-fastest player in the league to reach the milestone, doing it on the 710th game of his career.
Alonso now has eight home runs on the young season. He has seen the ball well this year, slugging .253/.327/.495 through 25 games.

Alonso is just one of the few Mets players that have hit 200 home runs. On Saturday, he joined Darryl Strawberry, David Wright, and Mike Piazza with the home run, cementing his status in New York.
