It has been quite the series for Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins. The 29-year-old capped off the O's series victory against the Minnesota Twins in grand fashion.
In the bottom of the ninth inning on Wednesday afternoon, Mullins locked in and launched a walk-off home run for the home club to secure the important victory.

Heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins were tied 2-2 with a runner standing on first base. With one out, it was a showdown between Cedric Mullins and Griffin Jax of the Minnesota Twins, which the outfielder won by smashing the two-run homer.
It has been an excellent start to the season for Mullins, who is looking to help lead the Baltimore Orioles to a deep postseason run. Following the walk-off home run, Mullins pushed his season numbers to a .259 batting average with five home runs, 15 RBIs and three stolen bases.
Mullins looks locked-in and healthy to open the year for the Baltimore Orioles, something that has benefitted both the club and the player. The former All-Star was limited to 116 games last season, finishing the year with only 15 home runs. At this rate, it looks as if Mullins will be able to shatter that number.
Cedric Mullins turned heads with his defensive abilities earlier this week
Although Mullins' walk-off home run off the Minnesota Twins was massive, it somehow was not the most impressive play that he made this week. On Monday night, he entered his name into the running for the defensive play of the year.
Minnesota Twins infielder Kyle Farmer looked as if he slugged an easy RBI double, but Mullins had other ideas. The veteran outfielder turned on the jets to make a completely horizontal diving catch to not only rob Farmer of the double but leave a player stranded on third base to preserve the lead for Baltimore.

If Mullins can remain healthy, he will certainly continue to provide Orioles fans with many more memorable moments throughout the season.
