Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne loves going to the beach and getting soaked under the sun. There, she also tastes seafood, and, in one of her videos shared on Wednesday, she devoured some seafood before ripping it apart.
Skenes has been having a good year in the majors. After making his debut in May, he earned his first start in the All-Star game and is a frontrunner for the NL Rookie of the Year. In his last start against the Miami Marlins, Skenes threw six innings for only one run, striking out nine hitters as he improved his season ERA to 2.10.
In a social media video, Olivia Dunne enjoyed a seafood meal as she ripped up a crabs leg before taking it in. She also had a caption attached to the video:
"Ik a seafood boils hate to see me coming," she wrote.
Olivia Dunne received a death threat in her new series "The Money Game"
"The Money Game" is a six-part documentary series released by Amazon that features top NIL athletes like Olivia Dunne talking about the new NIL landscape and helping viewers understand the impact the rule change brought by the NCAA in 2021.
In the documentary, Dunne revealed about a death threat she received from an Instagram user, prompting LSU to take extra security precautions for their athletes.
“You’re not gonna make it back to your dorm alive tonight,” the death threat from an Instagram user.
Dunne also shared that there were other similar messages of harm she received. On receiving the threat, the LSU gymnast reported it to the LSU Police Department, who "got it handled," Dunne said.
“What’s happening to Olivia is happening on a big scale,” Dunne’s mom, Katherine said. “But it happens to girls on a small scale all the time.”
It wasn't the first time Olivia Dunne had a poor experience with fans. During the Utah meet in 2023, a select group of teenagers made a scene outside the arena demanding to meet the social media star.
“Social media has gotten way more toxic and mean than when I first started,” Dunne said at the time. “But I always say the more eyes you got on you, the more you’re doing something right, the more people are gonna try to tear you down.”
Following this incident and to avoid similar future incidents, the LSU has added extra security measures whenever their athletes are traveling or are in public settings.
