As Trevor Bauer tries to show why he deserves another opportunity in the MLB, the former Cy Young Award winner has kept his personality. Despite attempting to earn another contract in the majors, Bauer has not let his situation affect the way he approaches the game, as well as his teammates.
While producing on the mound has been one of the most obvious ways that Trevor Bauer has been proving himself, he has also been continuously posting on social media to showcase his highlights. The former All-Star plays for the Diablos Rojos del México of the Mexican League and regularly gives his fans and followers a behind the scenes look at his journey.

In his latest post, Bauer shined the spotlight on outfielder Manny Garcia of the Dorados de Chihuahua. At the beginning of the video, Bauer showed a highlight of Garcia launching a pitch over the left field wall. As soon as he got back into his dugout, one of Bauer's teammates told him that Garcia supposedly earned a Rolex from one his Chihuahua veterans.
"He told me that he actually won a Rolex with that home run," one of Bauer's teammates said to him. "I think a veteran pitcher told him 'If you hit a home run Imma give you a Rolex,'" he continued to explain
The former Los Angeles Dodgers star got the last laugh, though, as Trevor Bauer racked up another strikeout to add to his impressive 2024 campaign. Bauer showed off his pitching variety and used a vicious curveball to take his revenge on Garcia, resulting in him going down swinging.
Trevor Bauer's MLB future remains murky despite strong performances in Mexico
The 33-year-old, who has not pitched in the majors since 2021 after sexual assault allegations were made against him, has been attempting to earn another shot in the league. After being released from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Bauer has taken his talent to Japan and now Mexico in order to prove that he still has some life in his arm.

Bauer has certainly proved his doubters wrong so far this season in Mexico, even earning an All-Star selection in the process. Over 83.1 innings this year, the former Cincinnati Reds ace has posted a 10-0 record with a 2.48 ERA and 120 strikeouts. Despite his strong season, it remains to be seen if he will earn another MLB contract. Until then, Bauer will likely continue racking up strikeouts in Mexico.
