CC Sabathia played 19 seasons in the majors, 11 of which came with the New York Yankees. From 2009 to his final pitch in 2019, the former Cy Young winner has etched his name in the hearts of many Yankees fans. One such fan now even has him in his blood.

On Friday, in a video shared online, a fan got Sabathia's signature near his leg tattoo, which features Sabathia in Yankees uniform. Immediately after, the fan got it immortalized by inking it on his leg, just below the image of Sabathia.

CC Sabathia had a phenomenal career in the Bronx. He won his first and only World Series in his first season with the Yankees in 2009.

He ended his career with six All-Star selections, an ALCS MVP in the winning season, and a two-time MLB win leader.

Yankees fans are not the only ones who have honored CC Sabathia's legacy. Before coming to the Yankees, Sabathia played eight seasons with the Cleveland Guardians and was also part of their 2007 postseason run, something Sabathia regrets to this day.

Earlier in August, the Guardians added Sabathia to their Hall of Fame. Before his induction, Sabathia spoke about some of his regrets from their 2007 postseason run, where the team came agonizingly close to capturing their trip to the World Series.

"I have to say sorry, too. I feel like if I pitched better in 2007, we win the World Series and we’re not still looking (to end) that drought,” Sabathia said.

In the 2007 AL Championship series, CC Sabathia pitched 10.1 innings, posting 10.45 ERA and conceding defeats in both of his starts. That became pivotal since the Boston Red Sox overcame Cleveland's challenge in seven games.

Nonetheless, for fans in Cleveland or in the Bronx, his legacy stays intact.
