WBC fans fuming at Team USA's terrible pitching performance against Mexico: "Entire USA pitching staff should be flipping burgers"

Team USA's World Baseball Classic Pool C game got off to a rough start versus Mexico. Joey Meneses smashed a 2-run HR to give Mexico an early lead in the first. He compounded their woes in the top of the fourth with a towering 3-run blast. The Mexican power-hitter celebrated his second homer of the night emphatically with a bat flip to the moon.

Fans were clearly unimpressed with Team USA's less-than-stellar pitching. Nick Martinez and Brady Singer did not cover themselves in glory, letting Mexico score 7 runs by the fourth inning.

Team USA has looked unconvincing in the World Baseball Classic

Team USA's pitching was expected to be a major worry due to its lack of star power, but the batters have not distinguished themselves either. With all their MVPs and All-Star appearances, Mike Trout and Mookie Betts have been disappointing at best.

Team USA will have to get their act together after an iffy outing against lowly Great Britain and a blowout loss to Mexico. Their much-hyped roster is falling flat on its face in World Baseball Classic 2023.
