The Boston Red Sox have been solid, yet uninspiring at times this season. In fact, the team will enter Tuesday's action with a 33-33 record, suggesting that the team can either look to push for the postseason or sell off some veterans for future assets.

It will be an interesting summer for the Boston Red Sox as the front office determines whether or not they will become buyers or sellers at the trade deadline. While the front office considers the roster's future, Red Sox owner John Henry knows his position moving forward with the club.

"John Henry built a modern sports empire with the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC. His billionaire peers revere him. Fans of his teams revile him. And that was before he decided to save pro golf. A year in the life of Fenway Sports’s reclusive owner" - @germanotes

In an interview with the Financial Times' Sara Germano, John Henry dismissed any notion of a potential sale of the club:

"We are committed to the city, the region," Henry said regarding the potential of moving on from the team. "The Sox are not going to come up for sale. We generally don’t sell assets," he continued, shooting down any rumors that suggested otherwise.

The Boston Red Sox have made a number of questionable financial decisions when it comes to the roster in recent years. The most notorious being trading Mookie Betts to the Los Angeles Dodgers instead of offering a lucrative long-term extension. This is something that still haunts fans.

John Henry has enjoyed several successful seasons as Boston Red Sox owner

Henry is the owner of the Boston Red Sox, English soccer club Liverpool of the Premier League and the Pittsburgh Penguins. With an estimated net worth of $4 billion, according to Forbes, Henry has been the principal owner of the Red Sox since before the 2002 season, winning the World Series four times since then.

Prior to Henry joining the franchise, the Red Sox had been on an infamous 86-year World Series title drought. Known as the "Curse of the Bambino", the lengthy championship drought became tied to the team selling Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees back in 1920. Red Sox fans may have mixed feelings toward John Henry, however, the four titles will certainly help ease tensions.
