Tyler Glasnow is fitting in extremely well at the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the popular pitcher has gone 6-3 in 2024 thus far. The Dodgers are atop the NL West, and although they are going through a blip this week, still look every part of their preseason tag of World Series contenders. As such, there is an air of positivity around the franchise.
Glasnow appeared on teammate Mookie Bett's podcast, and the topic of the pitcher resembling Irish actor Cillian Murphy came up. Here's what Glasnow said on "On Base with Mookie Betts":
"So we have a little bit of difference, height-wise, I think he's a little shorter, but I do see similarities in the face."

Betts said he sees "95%" similarities, and Glasnow laughed before saying:
"My family are always telling me about that too. We definitely do look alike, it's kinda crazy."
Glasnow went on to say that he had never met Murphy, although he had heard that the "Peaky Blinders" star was aware of him and the similarities and said he felt the actor was "chill":
I also think he's pretty low-key, that he just goes home and chills."
Tyler Glasnow discusses tough loss to Diamondbacks
While overall, Tyler Glasnow has looked very good in LA, Wednesday was a tough outing for him. The Dodgers lost 6-0 to the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Glasnow allowed 3 runs off 4 hits in the defeat. Glasnow spoke to reporters after the game (via MLB.com):
“It was fine in the beginning, and that fifth inning, it just got away from me. I think just looking back and trying to take what I did in the first four into my next start and trying to figure out why I was late, and try to wash it and go into the next one.”
The Dodgers then fell to successive defeats to the Cincinnati Reds (9-6, 3-1), which was a bit of a worry for their fanbase. The team has a chance to hit back on Sunday, and are 0-0 against the Reds at the time of writing. Tyler Glasnow is set to start next on Wednesday against the New York Mets and will look to lead LA to a win.
