Carlos Correa has been invited to the Midseason Classic for the third time in his career, and the first time as a Minnesota Twin. After a three-season break, last appearing in 2021, Correa received the opportunity on Sunday’s All-Star reserved list.
His wife, Daniella Correa Rodriguez, proudly celebrated her husband’s latest achievement on Instagram.
“We’re going to Texas. Congratulation!!! So proud of you,” Daniella wrote.
Correa has contributed to the Twins’ successful season. His impressive stat line of .305/.376/.508 and an OPS of .883 led the AL Central’s second-best team to a 51-39 record, while they aim for the top spot held by Cleveland Guardians (56-32).
If the postseason started Monday, with the current standings, the Twins would be participating in an AL wild-card series. For now, their goal is to maintain their lead and continue their series-winning streak, which started with the Oakland Athletics in June, to solidify their playoff chances.
