The New York Yankees return to Spring Training action today against the Pittsburgh Pirates in split squad action. After Jasson Dominguez's heroics made up for a lackluster Carlos Rodon start against the Atlanta Braves yesterday, the Yanks return to action once more.
Today's matchup against the Pirates is another big one as key positional battles continue to play out right in front of fans. What channel are the Yankees on today, though?
Like many games, the Yankees are on the YES Network today. It's the home of all regular-season games featuring the Bronx Bombers and it carries a ton of games, including today's matchup.
Here's the rest of the spring schedule that viewers can watch on YES Network:
- March 6 - Pirates, 6:30 p.m.
- March 8 - Cardinals, 1 p.m.
- March 9 - Red Sox, 1 p.m.
- March 11 - Phillies, 1 p.m.
- March 15 - Phillies, 1 p.m.
- March 21 - Tigers, 1 p.m.
- March 24 - Twins, 1 p.m.
- March 26 - Blue Jays, 1 p.m.
- March 27 - Rays, 1 p.m.
Many streaming options are available for this channel. FuboTV is an excellent choice for baseball fans as it is highly customizable and comes with a week-long free trial.
DirecTV offers the YES Network as well as a few other cable providers. Hulu and Prime Video offer live TV, so they could have games, too.
MLB Reddit streams alternatives also exist. These aren't legitimate, but they can work from game to game to get fans to watch from home.
What to watch for in Yankees' Spring Training
As spring training continues, the Yanks are hoping to get some clarity on three important battles. First, the fifth starter is yet to be determined since Frankie Montas is out.
This could be Clarke Schmidt, Domingo German or someone else. The shortstop job is also up for grabs. Oswaldo Cabrera, Anthony Volpe, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Oswald Peraza all have a shot.
Left field is also a hole. Jasson Dominguez has looked great and might shockingly challenge for that spot if he continues to send baseballs into orbit.
