In January, Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger was accused of domestic violence and child abuse by his estranged partner, Olivia Finestead.
On Jan. 24, she took to Instagram to express her grievances against her ex-partner, Clevinger. According to Finestead, Clevinger choked her in June last year and weeks later smacked her in a hotel room where the 32-year-old pitcher also threw chewed tobacco on their ten-month-old baby.

The MLB started probing the matter after Clevinger violated the league's domestic violence policy.
In June 2022, Clevinger was with the San Diego Padres. Apparently, the White Sox were unaware of the accusations when they agreed a one-year, $12 million contract with Clevinger on November 27, 2022.
MLB has announced that Mike Clevinger will not face any disciplinary action
After a comprehensive investigation by the MLB that lasted a month, the concerned authorities have determined that Mike Clevinger will not face any disciplinary action, and the probe is now closed.

After the news went viral, Olivia took to her Instagram account and said that it is unfortunate that Mike Clevinger is getting away with everything because there is no evidence that he committed violent crimes, unlike in the case of Trevor Bauer.
It remains to be seen if there is any development in the incident.
