When does Team USA play in the World Baseball Classic?

The United States are the reigning World Baseball Classic (WBC) champions, but they aren't the favorites to win the tournament this year.

The World Baseball Classic recently got underway, with the Netherlands defeating Cuba in the tournament's first matchup.

Team USA will begin their campaign on March 11. They start late in the tournament, partially because they're in one of the last groups.

Team USA's current schedule looks like this:

  • March 11, 10 p.m. Great Britain vs. USA (Fox)
  • March 12, 10 p.m. Mexico vs. USA (FS1)
  • March 13, 10 p.m. Canada vs. USA (FS1)
  • March 15, 10 p.m. USA vs. Colombia (FS1)

USA's first game will be against Great Britain on March 11 at 10 pm EST. It will be streamed live on Fox, so be sure to check it out as it will showcase some of the best talent in the world.
