The 2025 MLB season will start in a couple of months, and the league is absolutely loaded with star players such as Jazz Chisholm Jr.. MLB Network has been posting some position rankings over the past few weeks as a way to get fans excited about the upcoming season.
The most recent ranking that was posted focused on the star third basemen in the league, and it's a position that's loaded with talent. That post on Instagram brought up plenty of fan reactions, and some were extremely critical of the top 10 on the list.
MLB Network had Jose Ramirez at the top of the list, and Eugenio Suarez rounded out the top 10. That had one fan immediately questioning,
"Where is Jazz Chislom Jr." @zabdielcalebtejada
There were plenty of other fans who commented, pledging support for their favorite players as well.
"Where tf is Vientos?" one fan asked
"No Vientos or Alec bohm is wild mlb" another fan said
"Chapman too low and Arenado is only on here because of his name value. Vientos looks to be snubbed," one fan declared
Others commented on the Instagram post and some tried to make a joke of the list.
"Notice how Ohtani isn't on the list?" -@matthewresigned
"Combined average without J-Ram: .232"- One fan quipped
"Worst list I've seen," commented one fan
Putting together a top 10 list at any position is never easy, but MLB Network got plenty of interesting fan reactions with their third basemen list.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. Inks Deal For 2025
The New York Yankees acquired Chisholm Jr. at the trade deadline a season ago, and he was an instant upgrade to their offense. New York had a hole in the infield and decided that third base was where they needed the electrifying player the most.
The New York Yankees will be keeping Chisholm around for at least one more season as they recently agreed to pay the young star $5.85 million and avoid arbitration.
Since Chisholm can play all over the diamond, there is a chance that he may play another position in 2025. MLB Network does not believe that Jazz Chisholm is a top 10 third baseman, but he will need to be great for the Yankees.
