With inclement weather coming in on much of the East Coast, a lot of MLB games will no longer be happening on Thursday. In fact, even before April 6, many of the games were postponed to Friday.
The Yankees-Orioles series, which sees two playoff hopefuls in different stages face off, will not begin until Friday. Those with tickets can of course use them for Friday's game.
That's not the only game postponed, though. The Philadelphia Phillies have had a brutal start to the season in two senses. First, they're 1-5 after two absymal series with the Texas Rangers and Yankees.
Second, they haven't played in front of their raucous home crowd yet. That won't happen today, as the game has also been postponed to Friday.
MLB games postponed with more rainouts scheduled
The defending world champions are also experiencing inclement weather. They were supposed to face off against the Minnesota Twins tonight but they won't be able to. The game will be played tomorrow.
Finally, the Miami Marlins and New York Mets will not be able to play, either. Rain has forced them to move the game to Friday.
With so many games already canceled, it's reasonable to assume that other East Coast games will see either cancelations or rain delays, too. Fortunately, the MLB scheduled a day off in between, which gives them the option to play tomorrow instead.
