The 1939 Yankees were one of the best teams in baseball history. They won an incredible 106 games for a .702 winning percentage. Manager Joe McCarthy led them to the World Series title as they blasted the Cincinnati Reds to a four-game sweep.
This was one of the most dominant teams of all time. Since 1900, not a single team has had a higher run differential than the '39 Yankees. That team was +411.
