Trevor Bauer might be one of the most polarizing players in baseball, however, there is no denying that he might be one of the most confident as well. Bauer has not pitched in the MLB since 2021, and has been plying his trade south of the border with the Diablos Rojos del México in the Mexican League.

"Trevor Bauer pitched 8.2 innings yesterday while striking out 19 hitters in the Mexican league. Absolutely insane. Yet MLB doesn’t want him back in the league…." - @BasebaIlKing

The 33-year-old former NL Cy Young Award winner has been living up to former MLB All-Star status in the Mexican League this season. Trevor Bauer has been spectacular this year, pitching to an undefeated 10-0 record, while also racking up an impressive 117 strikeouts. It's these strikeouts that Bauer has been highlighting on social media.

One of the ways that Bauer has kept himself in the headlines has been by remaining consistent on his various social media accounts. In one of his most recent videos, Bauer can be seen talking to himself and discussing his strategy when facing one of his Mexican League opponents.

"What have we not thrown this guy," Bauer asked himself before a strikeout sequence in one of his recent outings. "Dangerous if you don't get it down," he said to himself before attacking the batter with a curveball.

Luckily for Bauer, his opponent got hold of one of his curveballs but it went foul.

"Curveball on the plate, hard," he said as he was seeking a strikeout later on in the at-bat.

The ball did exactly what he hoping as the batter swung and missed to which Trevor Bauer screamed out:

"Who wants some?!"

Despite strong performances in Mexico, it remains unclear if Trevor Bauer will pitch in the MLB again

It's clear that Trevor Bauer has plenty of life left in his pitching arm; however, off-field controversies have kept the former Los Angeles Dodgers star out of the MLB since 2021. In the wake of sexual assault allegations made against him, Bauer has yet to throw another inning to the majors.

Even though Bauer has since been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing, he has been unable to secure a new contract in the majors. Since his lengthy suspension, Bauer has played in Japan and now finds himself pitching in the Mexican League in order to prove why he deserves another opportunity. At this point, it remains unclear if he will ever throw another pitch in the majors.
