Although many people are interested in paranormal interactions, Mookie Betts is among those who want no business with ghosts. During the LA Dodgers' recent road trip to Milwaukee, Betts refused to stay with the team at the Pfister Hotel.
The hotel, built in 1893, has a reputation for being haunted according to local legend. News of Mookie Betts avoiding to stay at the hotel sparked several reactions from fans, with many ridiculing the eight-time All-Star.
He opened up about the backlash he received for his 'dislike' of ghosts in a clip he posted on Instagram.
“So I have a question for everyone out there. Why is it a problem? Why does everybody want to make fun of me because I don’t really like ghosts? I mean there can't be that many ghost lovers out there who just wanna see ghosts.”
“You know if you all love ghosts please sound off in the comments and can you explain to me why you love ghosts, if they are not really there, but they are there.”
This is the second straight year that Mookie Betts refused to stay at the Pfister Hotel, opting for an Airbnb like last year.

Mookie Betts has previously stayed at the Pfister Hotel but didn’t experience any paranormal activities. However, many other players, including Bryce Harper and Delmon Young, have shared their own experiences of hauntings at the hotel.
“Every noise, I’d be like, ‘Is that something?!?” Mookie Betts said of his stay at Pfister Hotel (via USA Today).
Although Betts didn’t see any ghosts, he had trouble sleeping during his time at the allegedly haunted hotel.
The Dodgers are currently in a three-game series at their home stadium with the Seattle Mariners.
After winning the first two games 3-0 and 6-3, they will face the Mariners in the series finale on Wednesday.
