Recently, Josie Canseco, the 26-year-old model and daughter of former Oakland Athletics outfielder and designated hitter, Jose Canseco, said that her father blew their family money.
Because of that, she says she had to hustle hard from an early age to pay her bills.
"My ‘family money’ was blown by the time I was 6/7 w bankruptcy n I had to work my a** off to not only sustain my ‘family name’ but also pay my bills cause no one paid that s–t except me," mentioned Josie expressing her grivances.
Ms. Canseco also narrated the ordeal of being drowned in debt for years and earning only $100 per week during her struggling days in NYC. In light of her father Jose Canseco's stellar MLB career, why is Josie Canseco broke?
Apparently, in August 2012, Jose, who earned over $40 million during his long Major league career, filed for bankruptcy at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Las Vegas. He had obligations of approximately $1.7 million, including more than $500,000 owing to the Federal Revenue Agency, and assets of less than $21,000.
