Will Smith reportedly crossed paths with his future wife when they were both students at the University of Louisville. The couple announced their engagement in 2019, and tied the knot in December 2020.
Smith had a decent season in 2024, finishing with a .248 batting average, 20 home runs and 78 RBIs. Off the pitch, Will's wife, Cara, was a steadfast pillar of support for the catcher, regularly turning up to Dodger Stadium to cheer her husband on.

The 2024 season went pretty much as well as Smith could have hoped for. The catcher was a key part of Dave Roberts' team that won the NL West division, ending the regular season with the best record in the major leagues, before going on to lift baseball's biggest prize, the World Series, for the second time in his career. The Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in 2024's edition of the Fall Classic. The Smiths also welcomed their second daughter, Layton, in October.
While most baseball players worry about their contract and future destinations in the offseason, Will Smith will rest easy after having signed a whopping 10-year, $140 million extension at the start of the season. He is very much a Dodger for life and should add more rings to his name given how the roster is stacked.
