Will Smith's wife Cara and Walker Buehler's wife McKenzie were in the stands of the Yankee Stadium seeing the Dodgers nearing a World Series win in Game 5. The game went down to the wire as the Dodgers rallied back to overcome a 5-0 deficit with a five-run fifth inning. They added a couple of runs in the eighth to go into the ninth leading the game 7-6.
Dodgers manager called out Buehler to protect the one-run lead in the ninth. The right-handed ace did so effortlessly as the Dodgers lifted their eighth World Series title.
During a Q&A with fans on Sunday, McKenzie was asked to describe the feeling when Buehler came out of bullpen in the most nerve-wracking situation. Cara reshared the post of McKenzie and shared her own feelings.
"One of my favorite memories during playoffs and the hug that followed after that last out," Cara wrote in her Instagram story.

The question was posed to McKenzie by one of her follower. McKenzie revealed the situation in the stands with her daughter Finley and her fellow friends, Cara Smith and Chris Taylor's partner Mary helping her stay calm.
"ltlmills922 told me he was running out there & immediately I started shaking and was holding back tears. Finley had just fallen asleep on me so thank goodness I had @caramartinellsmith & @mktaylor808 right behind me to help me stay calm," McKenzie wrote.
"Needless to say I was very emotional though. he had worked so hard all season & there is something special about seeing him in his element and I wouldn't want anyone else besides my husband in that situation."
The moment comes after Walker Buehler had a nightmarish season. Coming off a rehabbing year, he finished the regular season (1-6) with an ERA of 5.38 and 64 strikeouts in 16 appearances. However, he turned back the clock in the postseason, going 1-1 with an ERA of 3.60, 13 strikeouts and one save in four appearances in the postseason.
In the offseason, Walker Buehler became a free agent and signed a $21.05 million, one year deal with the Boston Red Sox.
