Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith and Cara Martinell Smith, who married in 2020 and are parents to two girls, have been living in Los Angeles for several years. The two met while pursuing higher education at the University of Louisville.
Will played baseball with the Cardinals while Cara pursued a degree in teaching. Cara Smith is active on Instagram and keeps sharing moments from her daily life with her 28K followers.
On Wednesday, she posted a throwback snap on her IG story with former Dodgers pitcher Ryan Pepiot's wife, Lilia. Cara Smith rocked a shimmering brown sleeveless dress while Lilia wore a red dress.
"Happy birthday to my gal!! Miss you & LOVE you! @lilia_pepiot," Cara Smith captioned the post.
Will and Cara Smith had their second girl in 2024. This was also the year Will Smith won his second World Series with the LAD since making his debut in 2019.
They welcomed their first daughter, Charlotte Ann Smith, on Oct. 15 2022 while their second daughter, Layton Elizabeth, on Oct. 22, 2024.
Both girls were present alongside their mother inside Yankee Stadium on Oct. 31, and then on the victory parade bus in LA to celebrate the Dodgers World Series triumph.

Will Smith and Cara were guests for an NHL regular season game between the LA Kings and the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Crypto.com Arena on Jan. 5. LAD pitcher Landon Knack was also invited to oversee the game as both the Dodgers ballplayers were given an LA Kings jersey with their name and baseball jersey numbers on the back.
Cara Smith posted pictures of the two from the event and captioned the post:
"This … never gets old."
Will Smith capped off the 2024 MLB season with the LAD, which saw him become an All-Star for the second time in his professional baseball career.
