Astros LF Yordan Alvarez, his wife, Monica, and their kids Mia and Jordan enjoyed a cozy beach vacation in Miami, Florida, to celebrate New Year's Eve on December 30, 2024. The family has been spending quality time together this offseason before Yordan heads over to the spring training camp in February.
Monica took to social media to share an array of images showcasing the Astros ace and their children enjoying beach time with a gorgeous sunset in the background. Take a look at the images here:
Yordan Alvarez and his wife, Monica both hail from Cuba. While Alvarez defected to the USA after signing as an international free agent with the Dodgers in June 2016, she, along with her family members moved from Camaguey, Cuba to Miami, Florida, when she was a kid.
The couple met each other way before Yordan made his MLB debut with the Astros. They dated for several years before finally deciding to exchange vows in a close, private ceremony in 2021.
The couple are proud parents to two kids. Their first child, Mia, was born on November 6, 2018, more than two years before their wedding date. They welcomed their second child, a boy whom they then named Jordan, who was born on July 2, 2021.
The happy family of four resides in Houston, Texas, where Yordan Alvarez has been playing professional baseball since making his MLB debut in 2019. Since then he has claimed countless honors with the ballclub.
Monica is a dedicated wife and nurturing mother as she cheers for Alvarez's endeavors both on and off the field while also taking care of both their kids during the strenuous baseball season.
