As the winter season sweeps in, even the families of MLB stars like Zack Greinke aren’t immune to its chilly grip and the inevitable colds it brings. The former Kansas City Royals starting pitcher is married to Emily, and the couple shares three sons: Jordy, Griffin and Bode.

The six-time All-Star and two-time ERA champion hasn't pitched in the majors since 2023, when he last played for the Royals. Since then, the 41-year-old Orlando native hasn't been able to land a contract in free agency.

On Sunday, Emily gave her followers a candid glimpse into her family's life through her Instagram stories. In the first story, Emily shared her witty take on “mommy's medicine,” showcasing a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia 2015 with a caption reading:

"Mommy's medicine when everyone has been sick," highlighting that a sip of wine in freezing temperature will serve as medicine.

In the next story, Emily shifted the spotlight to her little one, who was seen snuggled under a navy blanket on a comfy couch.

"So does this sick, sweet babe. The amount of chef shows he has watched is insane. I bet he has learned so many new tricks to try," Emily wrote.

Zack Greinke's wife Emily Greinke attends Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader alumni weekend

Before marrying Zack Greinke, Emily was a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys. On Dec. 30, she posted a photo from her DCC Alumni Weekend appearance at AT&T Stadium, where former cheerleaders reunite and perform at halftime during a Cowboys football game.

Emily shared several photos from the event while also penning a heartfelt note in the caption.

"DCC Alumni Weekend! ⭐️It's crazy how some things in life you can be away from for so long and yet feel like it was just yesterday," Emily wrote in the caption. "So happy to be back with my sweet friends, so proud to take the field with them again and so honored to be a part of such an elite group. There is a reason they are the best of the best and @dcc_judy and @kellifinglass are the main reason for that.
"Congratulations on what you have built and for bringing us together to year after year! 💙 what a time in life 🙌🏻 highlights included USO tours to South Korea(4x), Belgium, England, Iceland, The Netherlands, photo shoots with Maxim and world renowned photographer Walter Ioos, cover of the calendar rookie year and countless of memories made with my lifelong friends!"

Meanwhile, Zack Greinke hasn't mentioned anything about retirement yet. If a contract comes along, the 2009 AL Cy Young winner is ready to throw.
