Nick Castellanos is an American professional baseball right fielder and third baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). In the past, he has played for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, and the Detroit Tigers.


Castellanos climbed to the top of baseball's prospect list when the Detroit Tigers chose him out of high school in 2010. Castellanos was the 2012 All-Star Futures Game participant and was awarded as the competition's most valuable player. On September 1, 2013, he made his Major League debut with the Detroit Tigers. He made his first start a few days later on September 7 and recorded his first major league hit the same day. He recently became the first player in MLB history to hit two home runs apiece in two consective postseason games.


He earned selection to the All-MLB Second Team, won the Silver Slugger Award, and was selected to play in the All-Star Game, all in 2021. He was AL triples leader in 2017 and earned his second All-Star selection in 2023. Until now, Castellanos has had an impactful baseball career.
