Paul Skenes, an American college baseball pitcher, initially joined the United States Air Force Academy team as part of the class of 2024. He had a successful freshman season, receiving accolades such as the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year Award and first-team All-American honors.
In addition, he even received the prestigious John Olerud Award 2022 for being recognized as the best two-way player in the country. After his success at Air Force Academy, Skenes committed to transfer to Louisiana State University on July 28th, 2022. He joined the LSU Tigers and in the 2023 season, LSU won the 2023 College World Series. Skenes received the College World Series Most Outstanding Player Award.
