New York Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon's wife, Ashley, shared a hilarious reaction to the team's doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday.
The Yankees were scheduled to start a three-game series against the Angels on Thursday but the series opener was pushed to a day later due to inclement weather forecasts. Instead, the two teams played a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday to accommodate the series opener.
Although Carlos Rodon didn't take the mound in any of the games on Wednesday, his wife shared a hilarious reaction from their family. Ashley shared a story with one of their children lying on the floor with their pet cat, interpreting that the two games were too much for them to take.
"How we feel about doubleheaders in this household," Ashley wrote with a laughing emoji.
The Yankees won the first game of the doubleheader but the visitors took the second game to take up an exciting series decider on Thursday.
Carlos Rodon married Ashley in January 2018 and the pair have three kids together. However, Ashley's journey to motherhood was painful, as she had to endure a miscarriage.
However, after the birth of their first child, Willow, Carlos and Ashley Rodon started The Willow Grant to help couples dealing with pregnancy issues and infertility. Ashley also serves as Executive Director of Advocacy and Impact for the Nest Egg Foundation, which also contributes to The Willow Grant's initiative.
