Reginald Antonio Austin Jr. hit seven homers alongside 43 RBIs over 62 games as a freshman with the Vanderbilt Commodores in the 2023 season. Moreover, he also had four stolen bases throughout the year, proving him to be a versatile player for the Commodores. Later on, he was declared as the SEC Tournament MVP and also a member of the All-Tournament Team. Austin also displayed his skills in collegiate summer baseball leagues like the Sunbelt Baseball League (SUNB) in 2022 and the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) in 2023.
Notably, athletics runs deep in his family as his father, Reggie and two cousins (Jay and Myles) used to play different sports, which fueled his career as a baseball player. Moreover, he used to attend Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia and was ranked 7th overall and 2nd at shortstop out of Georgia by Perfect Game. Lastly, Austin was also a Two-time MPB All-American and made the High School All-American First Team once while attending high school

Anchor Impact is a non-profit organization that works to promote community engagement through education and charity. They also use student athletes from Vanderbilt University for improving and strengthening the charitable organizations in local community.
