Another day, and another workout for Ronald Acuna Jr's wife Maria Laborde. In an offseason that will be defined by rehabilitation and recovery by her husband, Maria is sure to keep pace.

Recently, the 25-year-old took to her personal Instagram account to show off her latest gym get-up. Clad in a black outfit, Maria flexed her muscles to her followers via a story, as she often does on social media.

Married to Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. since 2023, Maria hails from Venezuela — the same homeland as Acuna. As a teenager, Maria began competing in beauty pageants and was named Miss Teen Carabobo in her home state in 2015, paving the way for her to compete on the national level.

An avid social media user with hundreds of thousands of followers, Laborde is not shy about sharing her life on Instagram. Content covered often ranges from workouts, motivational messages, and plenty of adorable pictures of her two young sons, Ronald III and Jamal.

The pair married on August 29, 2023 — four years after they first became a couple. Later that day, Ronald Acuna Jr. hit a grand slam against the Los Angeles Dodgers in front of his new wife.

In May 2024, Ronald Acuna Jr. tore his ACL in a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. His second such injury since the summer of 2021, at least Maria is joining her husband as he seeks to condition himself to be game-ready for 2025.

A former MVP, Ronald Acuna Jr. has now torn his ACL twice in three years. Still regarded as one of the most potent bats in the game, the Venezuelan recently opened up to SI about how his approach might change by next year:

“I think going into next season, I’m just gonna try to be a little more patient than the last go around, after having undergone both of these surgeries that have obviously taken a big toll, I’m just gonna be patient.”

At least in recovery, Acuna has his beloved wife and pair of sons to accompany him during the offseason.
