American third baseman Royce Lewis plays professionally in baseball. Royce currently competes for the Major League Baseball Minnesota Twins. Minnesota selected him in the 2017 MLB draft, and on May 6, 2022, he made his MLB debut. Royce was named the 2017 Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year in California.

On May 6, 2022, Royce made his MLB debut with the Twins. On May 13, Royce smashed a grand slam off Cleveland Guardians reliever Bryan Shaw for his first professional home run. He joined Danny Valencia as the only other player in Twins history to hit a grand slam as their first career home run.

Royce played in 12 games for Minnesota while batting .300/.317/.550 with two home runs and five RBI. Royce tore his right knee's anterior cruciate ligament on May 29, the same knee where he had ruptured his ACL the year before. Royce decided to have the injury repaired through season-ending surgery.
