Houston Astros slugger Kyle Tucker is coming off an injury-riddled season. He fractured his shin during the year, causing him to miss 84 games during the regular season.
However, when he was in the lineup, he was elite. During 78 games, he hit .289/.408/.585 with 23 home runs and 49 runs batted in to help his club win their fourth consecutive American League West title.
Somebody like that would bring enormous trade value, and Houston knows it. According to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, they are listening to offers, which could result in a bidding war.
Sources close to Brown's way of thinking believe he would be okay parting ways with either Tucker or pitcher Framber Valdez, both of whom are in their final year of arbitration.
MLB insider links two teams in potential Kyle Tucker trade
There could be plenty of teams interested in Houston Astros slugger Kyle Tucker. He is phenomenal with the bat in his hand, is an excellent outfielder, and has tons of postseason experience.
MLB insider Jon Morosi joined MLB Network's Hot Stove, linking the New York Yankees to Tucker. He also stated that the Chicago Cubs like the three-time All-Star.
"The Yankees do like Kyle Tucker, the Cubs do like [him], but the Astros still like [him] as well. So, at the momment, there is still a higher chance of [him] being an Astro on Opening Day than being elsewhere" said Morosi.
While the two clubs are interested in Tucker, so is Houston. They know they still have what it takes to be a contender coming into the 2025 season, and Morosi believes he will stay put.
It will be interesting to see if Tucker's market gets any hotter. Juan Soto is already gone, and some teams could get desperate for an elite outfielder this winter.
