Dan Wilson, born on March 25, 1969, in Barrington, Illinois, is a former professional baseball player and current manager of the Seattle Mariners. He played as a catcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) and is best known for his time with the Mariners.

Wilson was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1990 and made his MLB debut with the team on September 7, 1992. In 1994, he was traded to the Mariners, spending the majority of his career there. Known for his strong defensive skills, Wilson played a key part in the Mariners' success in the 1990s and early 2000s, including their record-breaking 116-win season in 2001. He was an American League All-Star in 1996. Wilson retired on September 30, 2005, while playing for the Seattle Mariners. In recognition of his contributions to the team, Wilson was named to the Mariners Hall of Fame on January 17, 2012. On August 22, 2024, Wilson was hired by the Mariners and became their manager.
