Born on October 9, 1988, Starling Marte is Dominic Professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets in Major League Baseball (MLB). Marte signed a deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2007 and spent time in the farm system of the Pirates. Marte cecameß first player to graduate from the Pirates' Latin American complex, which is situated in the Dominican Republic, and made it to the major leagues. He made his Major league debut on July 26, 2012.


Marte has since been named to the All-Star Game twice in his career till now (2016 and 2022). He is also the recipient of two Gold Glove Awards (2015 and 2016).
