Taylor Ward delivered one of the best seasons of his MLB career in 2024 and it has not gone unnoticed across the league. The LA Angels outfielder was one of the lone bright spots for the team last season, posting a .246 batting average with a career-high 25 home runs and 75 RBIs over 156 games.

Even though Ward was arguably the best player for the Angels in 2024, it has not kept him out of trade rumors. Despite still having one more year of arbitration eligibility remaining on his contract, the Angels could look to cash in while his value is high.

There are several clubs that could use a player like Ward, so the Angels should have no issue finding a suitor if they are looking to move him ahead of the new season. It's been a busy offseason which has seen the Angels add some veterans, including Jorge Soler, Travis d'Arnaud and Kevin Newman, which could make it easier to part with Ward on the trade market.

Here's a closer look at 3 potential landing spots for Taylor Ward if he is made available by the Angels

#1 - Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals have reportedly been exploring the market for additional outfield help, which could make Taylor Ward an ideal fit with the club. The veteran outfielder could thrive batting alongside the likes of Salvador Perez and Bobby Witt Jr. while also filling in for some of the team's other free agents such as Tommy Pham or Robbie Grossman.

The Royals will enter 2025 as one of the top contenders in the American League; however, they will need to upgrade in the outfield before the start of the season. Ward could slot in nicely for Kansas City and would not be a rental as he won't be an unrestricted free agent until the end of 2026.

#2 - Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox have been one of the most active clubs this offseason, adding several key pieces, including Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler. While they managed to improve their pitching staff, the club still needs to add a weapon or two to its offense. Ward could be a significant upgrade, as the Red Sox could use some help in the outfield after losing Tyler O'Neill in free agency.

#3 - Houston Astros

The Houston Astros are another contender that needs to bolster their outfield. It lacks some serious firepower after trading Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs earlier this offseason. While Ward would not be able to replace the production that Tucker gave them, he could be an effective alternative.
