In the playoffs, home runs often account for most of the scoring. Yesterday, during two games, there were eight home runs hit by various players. Predicting who will hit them is not easy, but home runs happen virtually every single playoff game.
Today, there are two games on the schedule, with Both the ALCS and NLCS in action, featuring plenty of players who could hit them. After correctly predicting three home runs yesterday, here are today's best bets from DraftKings.
Best MLB home run prop bets for October 18
5) Mookie Betts: +550
Mookie Betts had three hits, including a home run, in last night's decisive victory for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has been red-hot lately, and he gets to face David Peterson (1-0, 2.08 ERA) tonight. He very well could hit another home run.
4) Francisco Lindor: +400
If the New York Mets are going to come back, it's going to be because of Francisco Lindor. He has been largely quiet this series after dominating the NLDS. Tonight, he will have to take on Jack Flaherty (1-1, 2.92 ERA) to keep the season alive.
3) Shohei Ohtani: +370
Shohei Ohtani hit a leadoff home run to open the scoring for the Dodgers. It was his first major hit without a runner on base in a while, and it spells doom for the Mets. Tonight, against Peterson, Ohtani could go deep again.
2) Giancarlo Stanton: +360
Giancarlo Stanton smashed what would have been a game-winning home run off of Emmanuel Clase last night. He continued his excellent postseason, and he could easily do that again tonight. Gavin Williams, who has yet to even appear in the postseason for the Cleveland Guardians, is on the mound.
1) Aaron Judge: +290
Aaron Judge also went deep off of Clase for a dramatic, game-tying two-run home run in the top of the eighth. Although it wasn’t enough to secure a win, Judge appears to be heating up at just the right time. Tonight, against Williams, the New York Yankees slugger could be a serious threat once again.
