Hitting a home run is not easy against today's MLB pitching, but so many hitters do every single day. Even when a few teams are off for the final travel day of the season, there are so many good candidates. Determining the right ones is difficult, but we're here to help you find the right DraftKings picks to make. Yesterday, two of our five picks hit.
Best MLB home run prop bets for September 26
#5) Teoscar Hernandez: +425
Teoscar Hernandez won the Home Run Derby and has 31 home runs so far. He's hit two in the last week as well. The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder is taking on the San Diego Padres and Joe Musgrove (6-5, 3.95 ERA) today, so he has a good shot to add to his total.
#4) Fernando Tatis Jr.: +330
Fernando Tatis Jr. has 21 home runs in 99 games played this season, including one last night. The Padres star is on a 162-game pace of 34 home runs and has two in the last five games played. The Dodgers are sending Walker Buehler (1-6, 5.63 ERA) to the mound to try and slow him down.
#3) Salvador Perez: +280
Salvador Perez has had an offensive resurgence, hitting 27 home runs this year. The Kansas City Royals star has just two in the month of September, so he's due to break out eventually. Today, he faces one of the best possible matchups: Patrick Corbin (6-13, 5.58 ERA) and the Washington Nationals.
#2) Shohei Ohtani: +280
With every passing game, 60 home runs becomes less likely. He needs seven more to reach that. However, every game that comes around is an opportunity for him to hit one, and he's done that five times in the last six games. Today, the Los Angeles Dodgers star takes on Joe Musgrove (6-5, 3.95 ERA) and the San Diego Padres.
#1) Byron Buxton: +160
The best bet today comes from Byron Buxton. The Minnesota Twins star has hit 18 in 100 games this year, but only two of them have come this month. He's due to have a good game, and today's matchup with Valente Bellozo (304, 3.82 ERA) and the Miami Marlins is enticing.
