Hitting a home run is no easy task, but so many MLB hitters do so on a given day. With teams back on after an off day yesterday for all but eight teams, there are plenty of candidates. Picking the right ones is hard, but to that end, we've compiled the best picks from DraftKings for today. Two of the five picks hit yesterday.
Best MLB home run prop bets for September 24
5) Paul Goldschmidt: +425
Paul Goldschmidt has not had the MLB season, hitting just 21 home runs this year. However, the St. Louis Cardinals star has the best possible pitching matchup today vs. the Colorado Rockies. Ryan Feltner (3-10, 4.73 ERA) will be on the mound.
4) Taylor Ward: +350
Taylor Ward has perhaps the second-most advantageous pitching matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Jonathan Cannon (4-10, 4.61 ERA) is opposing him today. The Los Angeles Angels slugger has hit 25 homers this year, with seven coming in September.
3) Kyle Schwarber: +340
Kyle Schwarber hit his 37th home run of the season last night. In a division-clinching win, he went deep.
Today, Schwarber faces Justin Steele (5-5, 3.03 ERA). Nine of his home runs have come this month as the Philadelphia Phillies surged to a division title.
2) Shohei Ohtani: +310
Shohei Ohtani has a theoretical chance to hit 60 home runs this season. It's a long shot, but if he's going to do it, it's going to be thanks to a flurry of home runs, which is possible for him. He has 53 of them but he does face Michael King (12-9, 3.04 ERA) today.
1) Aaron Judge: +285
Aaron Judge has seemingly put his small slump behind him, and the New York Yankees slugger is back to mashing. He has 55 home runs, the most in MLB, and has a solid chance of adding to that today. He faces Baltimore Orioles starter Dean Kremer (7-10, 4.19 ERA).
