Every day in the MLB, many hitters will hit a home run. It's a pretty common occurrence, and it can come from any player. Established stars as well as struggling veterans or even relative unknowns can hit a homer. Predicting who will or won't is hard, but we've got the best picks from DraftKings to watch out for in Tuesday's action.
Best MLB home run prop bets for September 3
5) Gunnar Henderson: +500
Gunnar Henderson has 34 home runs, though just a small fraction of them have come in the second half. The 34th came as part of a winning effort on Monday, so the Baltimore Orioles star is in good form. He's got a matchup with Nick Nastrini (0-6, 7.04 ERA) and the Chicago White Sox again today.
4) Pete Alonso: +425
Pete Alonso has been one of the most prolific home run hitters since he entered the league. This year, he has another 30 to his name. The New York Mets star gets to face Kutter Crawford, a Boston Red Sox starter, who is 8-12 with a 4.12 ERA. He has a good matchup and could go deep.
3) Jake Burger: +330
Jake Burger hasn't done a ton of hitting for the Miami Marlins, but when he hits, it usually leaves the yard. He's hitting just .247 but has 25 home runs. The Washington Nationals' Patrick Corbin (4-12, 5.50 ERA) is on the mound, so it's about as good a matchup as anyone has in baseball today.
2) Marcell Ozuna: +300
Marcell Ozuna has 37 home runs for the Atlanta Braves. He's in pursuit of a Triple Crown but will need to up the home runs if he's to accomplish this. Today, he's up against Kyle Freeland (4-6, 5.51 ERA) and the Colorado Rockies, so it's an excellent matchup.
1) Shohei Ohtani: +275
Today's best bet is Shohei Ohtani, which isn't all that surprising. The Los Angeles Dodgers star has more homers than everyone not named Aaron Judge. Today, he gets to face Reid Detmers (3-6, 6.14 ERA) and the Los Angeles Angels.
