Trey Yesavage is an American pitcher who was born to Dave and Cheryl Yesavage and had a humble beginning growing up in a farm at Boyertown. He started playing baseball at the Boyertown Area High School and led the school to 33 wins in two years. He was regarded as the fifth-best right-hander in Pennsylvania and the No.383 overall prospect by Perfect Game. He concluded his highly successful prep career with a 0.97 ERA in 10 games and strike out 83 batters in 50.2 innings in his final year of high school.
The Boyertown native began his collegiate baseball journey with East Carolina Pirates and spent his debut campaign as a relief pitcher appearing in all 34 games in 2022. He recorded a 4.50 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 26 innings. Yesavage had a discouraging start to his college career and decided to play for Charlottesville Tom Sox during the summer. In just six appearances, Yesavage had a 1.80 ERA in 25 innings and 23 strikeouts against nine walks. After a commanding spell at Charlottesville, Yesavage cracked the starting role at East Carolina and pitched one of the best seasons in the program’s history. As a sophomore, Trey managed a 7-1 record with a 2.61 ERA, amassing 105 strikeouts against 23 walks in 76 innings.
His 2024 season was even better as he compiled an 11-1 record with a 2.03 ERA and was recognised with the AAC Pitcher of the Year award.
