Ty France is an American professional first baseman for the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball (MLB). France was born on July 13, 1994, in Downey, California, U.S. and attended the South Hills High School in West Covina, California.

After graduating, the first baseman attended San Diego State University and played college baseball for San Diego State. Soon after, France was selected in the 2015 Major League drafts by the San Diego Padres in the 34th round and was the 1017th overall pick. France signed for a signing bonus of $100,000 by the Padres.

In 2015, France started his professional career under the organization by playing in the Class A Short Season for the Tri-City Dust Devils. He spent the next few years playing in the minor leagues between various teams. France was called up by the Padres to play in the Major Leagues on August 16, 2019. However, he was traded by the Padres to the Seattle Mariners in August 2020. He has been with the team since and made it to the All-Star team in 2021 due to his strong performances.
