New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will play with the Charleston Riverdogs on Tuesday night in his first minor league game on a rehabilitation assignment.
Al Pedrique, Charleston Riverdogs manager:“It was pretty cool. I mean anytime you have a player like Alex come into town, I’m sure the kids are excited about it. To have these two days to share with him and hopefully they can learn a few good things from Alex. How he goes about his business and his whole front. I know last night they talked about after the game, during the game and after the game so I’m sure the whole stadium, they can’t wait to see him walk through the doors.”
“Basically I just told my Alex he’s second in the line up, he will be playing third. He’s only going to go only trainers today and I think tomorrow will be basically the same plan.”
