Since signing with the New York Mets in 2021, Francisco Lindor has quickly become a fan-favorite in Queens. However, a funny video shared by the team's Instagram account on Friday shows that Lindor's infectious influence has spread to his teammates.
In the video, Mets players were asked which of their teammates had the best style. While some said Lindor's teammates Adam Ottavino and Luis Severino, most polled for the star shortstop.
Nicknamed "Mr. Smiles", Lindor's brand of energy and passion makes him very attractive to watch. The Puerto Rican is also known for his colorful arsenal of clothing styles, often shown off before and after Mets games.
Lindor has appeared with his wife, Katia, in several fashion magazines, including Haute Living and GQ. In addition to fashion being close to his heart, he also delights in traveling and other sports, such as tennis.
In early 2021, Lindor came to the Mets via a trade with the Cleveland Indians, with whom he had won two Gold Gloves and two Silver Sluggers. Hours before the 2021 MLB Opening Day, Lindor inked a massive ten-year, $341 million deal. He remains the highest-paid player on the team's roster.

Having missed just three games over the past three years for the Mets, Lindor is putting up a strong season in Queens again. Through all 93 games for the Mets, Francisco Lindor's 421 plate appearances lead the league. Additionally, the shortstop is hitting .249/.321/.446 with 16 home runs and 46 RBIs so far.
Francisco Lindor's style reflects his style of play
Lindor is about as versatile as they come, from hitting to fielding to running. While giving an interview to MLB.com during the London Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, Lindor used that exact term to describe his style:
"Just because you put something on, you feel timid? I’m not timid when it comes to dressing up. There are certain things I don’t want to put on, but I’m almost fearless in a way. I’m like, 'Man, let’s rock it.'"
Certainly, not one to shy away from the limelight, the Mets have the better part of a decade to continue enjoying Lindor's contributions.
