For gymnast-turned-influencer Olivia Dunne, Thanksgiving represents a much-needed break from her tremendously busy schedule. Recently, the star took to TikTok to share that she too encounters the post-Thanksgiving struggle.

In the clip, Dunne appears distressed in the dressing room as she prepares for her first post-Thanksgiving practice with the Louisiana State University gymnastics team. Captioned with the words 'back to the grind', Dunne lip-synced words that claimed 'it was tough walking back into the studio, but I did it.'

In early 2020, Olivia Dunne began posting pictures of her gymnastics routine on social media. Spurred on by the COVID pandemic, her fame quickly exploded. Today, in addition to starring on LSU's varsity gymnastics team, Dunne is also a social media sensation, boasting millions of followers across her various platforms,

Ostensibly, Dunne went back to her home state of New Jersey to dine on the Thanksgiving turkey with her family. Between her brand partnerships, social media presence, and duties to her LSU teammates, it can be hard for the 22-year-old to find a break.

Since the summer of 2023, Dunne has been in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. Skenes - who was selected first overall in 2023 - won the 2024 Rookie of the Year Award.

Through her brand and various partnerships, Olivia Dunne has become incredibly wealthy. She was the beneficiary of a 2021 NCAA rule change that allowed amateur athletes to gain an income from their name, image and likeness (NIL). Since then, Dunne has become one of the wealthiest athletes in US collegiate history.

Although her fame has had some very positive effects, the starlet has had to deal with some adverse elements. In her comments, Olivia Dunne has claimed that she no longer attends in-person classes at LSU, and requires a full-time security detail.

Due to her poise and talent in gymnastics, Dunne's name has been included in conversations about a showing at the 2028 Olympics. In a recent appearance on Barstool's BFF podcast, Dunne referenced fellow gymnast Simone Biles' decision to withdraw from the 2020 Tokyo games:

"Simone goes so high on all of her stuff and if I mean if she doesn’t know where she is, then that could be like really dangerous. So I guess It is better that she did pull out because you don’t wanna get hurt when you’re at the Olympics. That would be horrible"

Olympics or not, anyone who has watched Dunne knows she has an incredible career ahead of her.
