In October 2018, during the fourth game of the NLCS, former LA Dodgers star Manny Machado forcefully slammed his left leg into former Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Jesus Aguilar's foot in the 10th inning.
Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich did not take too kindly to the incident and slammed Machado for poor sportsmanship.
"You all could see how that unfolded," Yelich said after the game. "Everyone has their own opinion. He is a player that has a history with those types of incidents. One time is an accident. Repeated over and over again. It’s a dirty play. It’s a dirty play by a dirty player.

After the controversial bench-clearing brawl instigated by Manny Machado, the Dodgers third baseman apologized to the Brewers' Jesus Aguilar. Machado, though, justified his actions, saying he was simply looking to win.
“I play baseball, I try to go out there and win for my team. If that’s their comments, that’s their comments, I can’t do nothing about that. Which, should be noted, is not a denial," said Machado.

Machado played with the Dodgers for just one season. In 2019, he signed a 10-year, $300 million contract with the San Diego Padres.
