Derek Jeter's wife, Hannah Jeter, spoke about the battle of shielding her daughters from the preening eyes of the tabloid press.

Former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter is married to supermodel Hannah Davis and the couple share three daughters.

Both Jeter and Hannah are doting parents and have spoken a lot about their daughters' upbringing and how they managed to keep them away from the tinsel world. Hannah once opened up about struggling to keep her daughters' lives out of the glare of tabloid media.

Speaking to the Editorialist in 2021, Hannah spoke about the battle of shielding her girls from the preening eyes of the tabloid press. She said:

"Both my husband and I have been in a place in our careers where we have to share so much. And we can handle it. But when you love something so much, you want to protect it more than anything in the world. And for me, that’s my relationship, that’s my kids.”

Jeter's Instagram is full of pictures featuring his wife and their girls.

The most "gratifying" thing, according to Jeter, is having his girls by his side.

“By far the most gratifying thing I’ve ever been a part of,” Derek said during a CBS This Morning appearance in February 2018. “Regardless of how your day went at work, when you get home and you see a smile on your daughter’s face, it makes it all worthwhile.”

In 2022, all of Derek's daughters attended his induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame at Yankee Stadium in New York City to mark the moment. Derek was initially honored in January 2020; however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony was postponed for two years.

"Great to be back home at Yankee Stadium! Thanks to everyone for making it such a special night for me and my family. The girls had a blast and finally got their ice cream." - Derek Jeter

Jeter was selected for 14 All-Star games and received numerous honors, including a Roberto Clemente Award, two Hank Aaron Awards, five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards and five Gold Glove Awards. In terms of lifetime hits in the MLB, Jeter finished first among shortstops and sixth overall. He became the 28th athlete to accumulate 3,000 hits.
