When fate brought Hannah Jeter and Derek Jeter together at the perfect time

Derek Jeter and Hannah Jeter are really considered one of the most heartwarming and perfect couples. From their love story to how much they seem to complement each other when the two are together.

Jeter's personal life was always a hot topic among gossipers. The former Yankees shortstop dated Mariah Carey, and their relationship was adored by their fans. However, the relationship only lasted a year and ended with Carey writing the song "The Roof (Back in Time)" about Jeter.

Hanah Jeter and Derek Jeter met back in 2012 in a restaurant because of some of their mutual friends. They ended up tying the knot in 2016 and have been happily married ever since.

Hannah wrote a beautiful piece for Jeter in the Players Tribute called, 'The Derek I know'. In this article, she elaborates on her true feelings about the shortstops.

The truth is: Just as Derek had lived a whole life before he’d met me, I’d lived a whole life before I’d met Derek"

Hannah Jeter completed her thoughts with:

"Where we’d been, where we were and where we wanted to go — everything just seemed to fit".

Derek Jeter is probably one of the luckiest men as he got to marry someone who loves him so much. Their love story continues to inspire people to find the right one for themselves as well.

Derek Jeter is considered a household name, but his own wife didn't know who the revered Yankees player was.

During their first meeting in a restaurant, Hannah Jeter was unaware of who she was meeting. She said the following when recalling the incident:

I thought he was a pitcher. I know it sounds strange that I didn’t know he was a shortstop. When a mutual friend introduced us while I was at dinner with my mom in New York, I didn’t really know who Derek was at all.

Hannah added:

I can just imagine all of the New Yorkers reading this right now thinking, Oh, come on. They probably don’t believe me. You probably don’t believe me. But it’s true.
