Former MLB star Albert Pujols is engaged to Nicole Fernandez, the daughter of the former president of the Dominican Republic. Per the 2 time World Series champion (2006, 2011), Nicole arrived in Albert's life when he hit rock bottom.

In April 2022, the former St. Louis Cardinals first baseman and designated hitter announced that he was ending his 22-year-long marriage and filing for divorce from his wife, Diedre Pujols, citing irreconcilable differences.

Presumably, Nicole and Pujols met while Albert was still reeling from the blues of his divorce.
