In 2009, Detroit Tigers star Miguel Cabrera had an ugly physical altercation with his wife Rosangel Cabrera. He apologised to his Tigers teammates and expressed remorse.
Cabrera issued this statement through the Tigers: He said:
“There was an incident that took place on Saturday and it is a personal matter. I am sorry this has become a distraction, and I apologize to the Tigers, my teammates, and all of the fans. I would appreciate it if you would respect my family’s privacy as I prepare for our next game.”
Miguel and Rosangel have three kids (Christopher, Isabella, and Rosangel). Despite occasional difficulties, the pair have been united in marriage for more than 20 years. Rosangel filed for divorce in 2017, but later changed her mind.
Miguel Cabrera's extramarital affair
Cabrera was sued in 2017 for $100,000 per month in child support by his former mistress, Belkis Rodriguez. He dated the woman for a while and a boy and a girl were born to the couple. Cabrera said that the woman had extorted him.
Miguel Cabrera had assisted Rodriguez in purchasing a $1 million home, but his wife found out about the relationship in 2017. He began to distance himself from Rodriguez at that point.
Cabrera's wife serves as one of the few executives of the Miguel Cabrera Foundation and is an active member of the community. The charitable organization, which was created in 2007, offers community assistance while also assisting young athletes in realizing their aspirations.
