Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson was not only a star player on the field but also a doting son. Jackson once retaliated against a fan for making uncouth remarks about his kin.
Jackson was the youngest of his mother Clara's four children. When he was four years old, his parents got divorced. Jackson's father took care of him. He knocked down a fan in 1977 for making a vile remark about the MLB legend's mother.
"At 12:45 a.m., as Jackson approached his car in parking lot No. 14, a group of youngsters was in the lot and made remarks to Jackson. Jackson chased them through the gate onto a mall where he grabbed one of them and supposedly knocked him to the ground."
Jackson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.

Reggie Jackson hit his 400th home run at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 11, 1980, while playing for the White Sox. Following a long night of revelry at Jim McMullen's tavern on the Upper East Side, Jackson walked over to his Rolls-Royce, which was waiting for him there.
Before Jackson could leave, a young man approached him and pointed a large-bore revolver in his direction.
"It was the biggest gun I ever saw. He was pointing the gun at my head. I thought he was going to shoot me," said Jackson to the New York police while recalling the incident.
