MLB player Matt Kemp and celebrity Rihanna dated in the late 2000s and their romance was one of the most well-known in all of sports. According to "People," Rihanna discussed her affair with Kemp in a 2010 interview with "Elle" magazine and said she felt very at ease with the baseball star.

“I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace,” she said. “It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

“I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy,” Rihanna added.

The two met through friends in November 2009, and by early January next year, they were taking a holiday in Mexico.

Rihanna discussed her turbulent relationship with her ex-boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, in the same interview. She allegedly suffered a physical assault from Brown.

“A year ago, I was very confused,” she says. “Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives – not only our friendship, but our lives.”

“I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him – it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion,” Rihanna added.
