New York Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodon was raised by a wonderful set of parents, Carlos Rodon Sr. and Julie Rodon. The two-time All-Star's (2021, 2022) father is Cuban while his mother Julie is Cuban-American.
Carlos emmigrated from Cuba in 1967 when he was five years old, and his mother is Cuban-American. The family moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina when he was a child.
Rodón played for the school's baseball team at Holly Springs High School.
He was selected in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. However, he decided not to sign up to attend North Carolina State University.
Carlos was chosen by the Chicago White Sox third overall in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. In 2015, he finally made his MLB debut with the team.
